Expert Advise - Windows, Doors, Siding, Roofing

From Those Who DoAsk The Expert for Expert Advice

Ask the Expert:
Michael Lane has been in the construction industry for over 25 years.  Licensed to build just about everything from Single Family Homes, and Hi-Rise Condominiums to Commercial Buildings and Bridges.  When  it comes to building and remodeling, Michael Lane is a virtual walking encyclopedia.

Now specializing in replacement windows, doors, siding and roofing for all residential and commercial projects, Florida Lifetime Impact Windows and Doors has become the premium remodel and installation company on Florida's Central and West coasts,

Expert by Doing:
It is important to be book smart no doubt but one needs to have hands on experience working down in the trenches before they can really say they know what they are talking about.  Over the years Michale has specialized in the construction of higher end homes and the restoration of historical properties.   For the last seven (7) years, while he continues to build up to 3 exclusive homes per year, he has focused on building his company called Florida Lifetime Impact Window and Door.  They specialize in replacement windows, vinyl windows and aluminum windows.

Michael Lane - Florida Lifetime Impact Window and DoorTogether with his partner Ken Goodman, another 25 year contractor veteran specializing in residential additions and remodels, they average approximately 20,000 replacement windows installations per year.  Their company installs windows, doors, roofing and siding in all of the Tampa area, Clearwater, St. Pete, Sarasota, south to Naples as far north as Brooksville, up to Ocala and east to Lakeland and the Orlando areas.  So, when we say they are expert  professional installers, we aren't just talking a  few hundred replacement windows scattered along the beach.  No, not at all.  These guys are committed to success and have managed to build and continue to maintain their very professional 5 Star and "A' ratings with the BBB and Service Magic, you can't do that without doing it right!

Why Settle For Less:
Any "Johnny Pick-Up Truck" or person with a hammer can say they will install your replacement windows and with the economy being what it is there is a multitude of out-of-work carpenters who may offer to assist you with the installation and even do it without pulling a building permit.  However, what happens when they leave and you have a problem after the installation?  Who do you call then?  Or what happens if "Johnny" does the job wrong?  What recourse do you have then?  Worse yet, what happens if they or one of their helpers gets hurt on your property?  Whose insurance pays the hospital bill?  Whose rates go up?

Employees Not Subcontractors:
Everyone who works at Florida Lifetime Impact Window and Door is a W-2 employee not a subcontractor.  In addition, every Energy Sales Consultant, Regional Manager and Installation Crew Member have been factory trained on each product.   What does this mean to the Homeowner... plenty.

1) Every product Florida Lifetime sells and every product they install is fully covered by the manufactures warranty.  This translates to peace of mind for you because since the manufacturers trained the Florida Lifetime Crew, the manufacturers stand behind their installation work.

2) If in the event that their was an accident causing bodily harm or destruction to property during the installation, it is Florida Lifetime's insurance that covers the event and not your homeowners insurance.

Do You Need A Building Permit?
Remember that building permit comment we made earlier,  what happens if you don't pull a permit?  I mean, do you really need one?  Its just a few vinyl or aluminum windows right... wrong.  If you get caught putting in windows without a permit, it can be as much as a $5,000 fine to you not the carpenter or neighbor.  If you  don't get caught and you at some point down the line go to sell the house, the new buyers usually do an inspection.  If no building permit for the windows is found on file you could be required to pull out the windows and re-install them with the proper permit(s).  Now, that is what we call a very expensive replacement window installation.

Benefits of working with an Expert:

About Florida Impact

Michael Lane and Ken Goodman created Tampa-based, Florida Lifetime Impact Window & Door in 2008 when they were finally "fed up" and had enough with the down-turn of quality, issues and problems in the Home Improvement industry, namely:  "Terrible Customer Service" and "Lack of Integrity".  After working as a general contractor in new home  construction and home remodeling as well as a subcontractor for replacement windows, doors, vinyl siding, Hardie Cement Board installation and roofing for the big Corporate home builders, they decided to open Florida Lifetime Impact Window and Door with hopes of providing consistent quality  workmanship.  Taking care of the wants and needs of  their customers for an honest and fair price is the key to their success .  Florida Lifetime Impact services the West, South West and Central Florida areas.
